It seems every day on the news and talk shows we are hearing about “Christian rights” and “Christian representation.” Here one MP has even created a pie-chart to show how he proposes to boost said “Christian rights.”

But what are “Christian rights” exactly? And how do they differ from “Muslim rights” or “Druze rights”? Do you have to be a practicing Christian to qualify for such rights? What if you are a “bad Christian” like the kind that romps around town in black-tinted windows cutting other cars off the highway or deploying your bodyguards to threaten others when necessary? Or what if you are the type of “Christian” that engages in criminal or genocidal behavior, like massacres and looting of towns and villages? Or did Christians not take part in that?

In any case, Christian rights must be different than human rights, because I don’t see any MPs talking about those.
