Just got back from the KasKas neighborhood in Beirut near the entrance to Shatila refugee camp. APCs lined the streets with anti-aircraft guns pointed up toward residential buildings.

I managed to capture one of them (above) while driving. There were several others around the block and on the other side of the street where troops were armed, huddled behind a wall on a corner, ready for action.

Just up the road from them a few garbage bins were on fire:

I wasn’t going to get out of the car and take photos considering what happened last time I tried this in Kaskas when Hariri supporters came running toward me.
