Randomly stumbled upon this house other day in Geitawi: 

Interestingly, there was even a lego tile in the sidewalk:

Come to think of it, Lebanese sidewalks do look a bit like lego pieces. I’m not sure if this was part of an art project. Anyone know?
There are so many wonderful old houses across the country, but sadly they are often seen as obstacles to real estate projects. It’s easy for cash-hungry developers to argue that such homes are worthless, but look at what a little paint can do.

Shortly after posting, reader Jubran alerted me that this house was part of the “Geitawi on My Mind” project, which involved his group “Paint Up” as well as Dispatch Beirut
